Internship Program

1. Introduction

Internships are defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) as: “a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths, and give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent.” The internship program not only improves students’ personal skills but also polishes their professional growth and experience.
Fortunately, all universities and companies are well aware of its importance and willing to collaborate in the internship program. Internships are being turned into employment too, which is beneficial to both interns and organizations in terms of cost, time, and suitability. Apne Bal Peh is launching an internship program to improve coordination among universities, companies, and students/interns. We are providing a structured internship program and proper feedback about the learning outcomes of the students/graduates.
“Apne Bal Peh” ABP– is offering services to the universities and the companies at the two levels.

ABP believes that during the course of study, 6 weeks of training in the eighth semester is not sufficient. Instead, ABP suggests three weeks of internships every semester. ABP also understand that there are 30 million SMEs in Pakistan where students can easily be placed for internship.
After graduation. Many companies prefer to hire fresh graduates as internees and offer employment after successful completion of the internship.
